Any violation of this policy will result in immediate eviction and loss of all funds paid for the entire stay. This policy is not flexible. 2). For the comfort of all residents in our neighborhood, no noise audible outside the house after 9:00 PM and before 8:00 AM. We have a strict policy of no additional guests on the premises other than the pre-approved number during booking process. Any guests over the pre-approved amount will be charged $75 per person per day and/or asked to end the stay and forfeit all fees paid. Absolute Maximum number of guests is 10. 3)All cars are to be parked in the driveway. 4) The house is to be left in the same condition as received. Prior to leaving all garbage will be disposed of in the garbage cans and dishes washed in the dishwasher and returned to the cabinets. 5) Pre-approved pets are allowed. The additional cost is $50 per night for a dog. This will be charged by request after your booking. Dogs need to be crated when not supervised. We have a crate and a large dog play pen that you're welcome to use. Cats are not allowed due to owner allergies. 6) For the comfort of future guests smoking is not allowed in the house. There is a cigarette/marijuana smoke detector. Violators will have to pay the cleaning fee and a $500 penalty 7) There are video camera's outside the house which are to remain enabled for the security of the property and guests. If a neighbor reports a party or event then the cameras will be used to verify the number of guests and if there is a party or event. There are also video cameras on the 1st floor of the house (front hallway, hallway to side door and living room.) The inside cameras are disabled and unplugged and are only used when the house is not occupied. 8) Guests are 100% responsible for any damage to the house or amenities. You will receive a tour of the home and verify everything is in working order. If anything is not working then it will be noted. A final walkthrough at the end of your stay will verify that there are not any damages and deposit will be released. 9) A copy of your ID is required upon check-in. A guest list and contact info is to be provided when booking a reservation. The guests are the only ones permitted on the property. Any changes to the list should be communicated via Airbnb email not to exceed the approved number of guests at booking. This is the perfect home for families and guests attending local events. Our house was built with treehouse views in mind. We are located just miles from the tri-cities and the house is close enough to local wedding venues or you can host a small one yourself on property. Perfect for family gathering's. We have 1 full kitchen and a second one downstairs with microwave, convection oven and dishwasher that is a perfect staging area for parties held outside. This also gives you a separation of space if needed.

The “ loft" style living room features 25 foot ceilings: The living room opens to a private back yard. Part of it fenced if you have small children. The house is baby friendly; we have safety gate on the stairs, and a fenced yard, 1 high chair and 1 crib/cot available at no extra charge. We have Canoes that can be used on the lake or river a few blocks away. Sleeping arrangements: the master has a King bed, the Cellar guest bedroom has a King bed , and the rear guest bedroom has a queen bed and the center bed room has a queen bed, the office room converted to bedroom has a full bed. Additionally, there are two full size roll-aways, and a Queen Mattress in the cellar and a queen memory foam futon. Those four "portable" beds and be placed in the cellar or living room. Upstairs, the master suite has a King Bed, private bathroom with shower and soaker tub with twin vanity. The sofas are also suitable for sleeping up to 3 children if you bring sleeping bags, ( or extra bedding is available) but the sofa is not counted in the overall sleeping capacity of the house which I put at just 10 because that is the level at which everyone has lots of room. But if you had two families with kids, you could squeeze as many kids into the house as you needed to. Enjoy full use of the laundry room with washer and dryer, iron and steamer. Having said that, it is with the utmost sincerity that we ask you to treat our home with the respect it deserves. Please understand that this isn’t just a business to us, this is where my children have been raised and where we still come together to spend quality time with each other. We have a wonderful cleaning staff that do a fantastic job and that we have grown to love, and we hope you show them the utmost of respect as well. If we feel like the house was left in a disrespectful manor, we will not rebook your group in the future and you will be charged an excessive cleaning fee of which we see is fit. All groups must have an I.D. to present at check in, and we will be looking into each group that requests to book. Taking your home from personal use to public use is not always easy, and there are always groups that tend to “ruin it” for the majority of our guests. We have been completely misled and lied too, and we have even been victim of scams. This two bedroom house is about 10 blocks from the Fox River Park to downtown which is an easy walk should you want to visit the many fine bars and restaurants, and microbrewers downtown, and Starved Rock Park it's about 12 miles, 20 minutes drive and if you don't want to drive Taxis are available in the immediate area.

The Selah House is 10 miles from Starved Rock and close to family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining, and nightlife. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the people, and the location. With 5600 sq. ft. of space, this location is particularly good for families (with kids) and big groups; reunions or corporate seminars. We have off street parking available plus two garage spaces. Sorry - no pets! There is a %5 Hotel/Motel Tax that goes to the City of Ottawa that is added on to your cost. You can sleep more than 8 if you bring sleeping bags or air mattresses. Plenty of room. We are available to you by phone to assist with anything you need during your stay. The activities in this area are many. Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park are only 10 miles away. Ottawa's many historic attractions are right down the road with the Reddick Mansion, the Appellate Court Building. the old Courthouse, the historic downtown district, Skydive Chicago, and the LaSalle County Museum in Utica. For the more adventurous you can travel to LaSalle to visit the Carus Mansion and Lock 16 or travel to the Chicago Loop in 90 minutes. Things to do just don't end. Bicycle and walking paths and river rafting draw people to this area. And we don't want to leave out fishing on the Illinois River. Ottawa also has fine dining for the evening hours with many great restaurants in Ottawa and Naplate.
